In this interview, we share insights from his unique upbringing, the pivotal moments that influenced his career, and valuable tips for those looking to thrive in the dynamic field of Account Management. Dive into Sanket’s (SJ) story and discover how embracing diversity and staying curious can lead to a fulfilling and impactful career.
LN: How did your upbringing in different states influence your career choices?
SJ: Growing up in different states exposed me to a variety of industries, cultures, and ways of thinking. This helped me become adaptable and open-minded, making it easier to explore and pursue different career opportunities. I learned to appreciate diverse perspectives and saw the value in different fields, which ultimately guided me to choose a career that leverages my diverse experiences and ability to connect with people from various backgrounds.
LN: Can you share a specific instance where your diverse background helped you overcome a challenge?
SJ: Certainly! During a project at work, we faced a significant challenge in understanding the needs of clients from different regions. Thanks to my diverse background, I was able to offer insights into cultural nuances and preferences that others might have overlooked. This helped us tailor our approach, resulting in a successful outcome and a satisfied client. My ability to draw from my experiences in various states allowed us to bridge gaps and find common ground.
LN: How do you maintain connections with people from various parts of the globe?
SJ: Staying connected in our globalized world requires more than just a LinkedIn connection. It requires conscious effort to stay in touch with friends and acquaintances through regular communication, be it via social media, phone calls, or occasional meet-ups. I make it a point to attend industry events and reunions whenever possible. Additionally, sometimes it requires an escape from the work life where we reunite for life goals.
LN: What advice would you give to someone who wants to broaden their perspective like you have?
SJ: I would suggest stepping out of your comfort zone and actively seeking opportunities to interact with people from different backgrounds. Travel, if possible, and immerse yourself in different cultures. Be open-minded and willing to learn from others. Engage in conversations, ask questions, and listen to understand rather than just to respond. Lastly, keep an open heart and mind, as these experiences will enrich your life and help you see the world through a broader lens.
LN: How did changing schools impact your friendships and social life?
SJ: Changing schools and cities frequently meant that forming lasting friendships was challenging. Each move required me to start over and make new friends, which was tough initially. However, it also taught me to be more outgoing and adaptable. I became skilled at quickly connecting with new people and understanding different social dynamics. This ability to adapt and make friends in new environments has been invaluable throughout my life.
LN: Were there any specific teachers or mentors who influenced you significantly?
SJ: Yes, several teachers had a significant impact on me. In Madhya Pradesh, my English teacher encouraged my communication skills, boosting my confidence. In Gujarat, my principal supported my freedom to explore sports activities that shaped me to work in a team aiming for the same goal. These mentors helped shape my interests and guided me in developing important life skills beyond academics.
For my career growth, I can never forget my mentor, Nihar Raval. He identified the potential in me and helped shape my career in the tech business.
LN: How did your involvement in sports shape your personality and skills?
SJ: Being involved in sports taught me discipline, teamwork, and leadership. As the school captain for 4-years and a participant in various sports like, volleyball, table tennis, short put, discuss throw, javelin and hockey as well. I learned to manage responsibilities, work with a team towards common goals, and stay committed to my pursuits. It also helped me represent the School Federation of India. Sports also provided an outlet for stress and a way to build a strong social network. These experiences helped me develop a balanced and resilient personality, capable of handling diverse challenges.
LN: How was work-life before LogiNext?
SJ: With a diverse career trajectory that spans multiple industries, I have cultivated a unique blend of skills and experiences that have shaped my professional journey.
Starting with a background in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, I was on the path to engineering. However, family constraints redirected my course, leading me to pursue a bachelor’s in journalism and mass communication in Delhi. My early career included roles as a photojournalist and copywriter for Hindustan Times and Times of India. Family obligations brought me back to Gujarat, where I pivoted once again to complete an MBA in marketing and sales—a significant shift from my scientific and journalistic roots.
My professional journey began at 3M, where I managed sales and services in Gujarat. After 10 months, I transitioned to Vodafone, handling enterprise business for Vodafone UK, a role that enhanced my communication skills through specialized training. I spent over a year there, eventually managing escalations and customer complaints.
Feeling confined in the BPO sector, I took a three-month hiatus to re-evaluate my career. This led me to Radix Web as a business development executive, marking my entry into the SaaS industry and met my mentor Nihar Raval. After 2.5 years, I joined SalesHandy, another SaaS startup focused on email automation, where I managed accounts and drove revenue growth in Europe and the US.
The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the importance of cybersecurity, prompting me to join EC-Council to manage sales across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa. Despite the success, I felt the urge to explore new horizons. Recognizing the burgeoning potential in logistics, I joined LogiNext, where I currently thrive as a Key Accounts Manager.
Throughout my journey, I have consistently embraced change, driven by a passion for continuous learning and a commitment to building strong client relationships.

LogiNext has provided me with numerous opportunities beyond Account Management, aligning with my passions and helping me achieve my personal goals.
LN: What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard or given?
SJ: The best advice I’ve ever heard is to “stay curious and never stop learning.” This mindset has helped me stay adaptable and continuously improve. The best advice I’ve given is to “always prioritize integrity in your work.” Upholding ethical standards is essential for long-term success and trust.
LN: What are your hobbies and interests apart from work?
SJ: Outside of work, I immerse myself in the world of electronic tech gadgets and thrill-seeking off-road dirt biking. I also channel my creativity through cooking and photography, passions that help me unwind and stay inspired.
LN: Any favorite books or movies you’d recommend?
SJ: I’m not much of a book reader, more of a practical person. I remember an interesting concept from a book where the author, after losing his legs in an accident, analyzed consumer behavior in a shopping mall. He noticed how businesses design certain products to push customers towards higher-end models, like how a 32-inch TV’s price difference with a 43-inch can make customers opt for a 55-inch instead. The book I’m referring to is “Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions” by Dan Ariely.
As for movies, I don’t have a specific favorite. I enjoy all kinds, especially action films.
LN: What would you like to be your superpower, and why?
SJ: If I could have a superpower, it would be the ability to understand and speak any language. Communication is the foundation of human connection, and being able to communicate with anyone, anywhere in the world, would be incredibly powerful and enriching.
