LogiNext technology has helped reduce 50 million pounds of GHG emissions globally

The Global Supply Chain has predominantly been run on a carbon emission heavy landscape. Global land, air & ocean freights account for 25% of the total energy consumption in the world. These activities not only create a massive environmental impact but also lead to global sustainability goals being pushed back in favor of meeting demands across the global landscape.

One of the biggest ways to bring down GreenHouse Gas emissions is to bring in efficiency when it comes to logistical processes. LogiNext, a transportation automation platform used by some of the largest enterprises digitise, optimise and automate processes which helps in reduction of GHG emissions.

This World Environment Day, LogiNext is proud to announce that it has helped reduce 50 million pounds of GHG emissions. Bringing in complete visibility and tracking capabilities for the first mile, middle mile and last mile movements, LogiNext has tracked more than 240 million miles and a reduction of 15-20% in terms of distance travelled has resulted in the reduction of GHG emissions.

There are several ways in which technology aided decision making has helped further sustainable development goals for LogiNext customers. LogiNext Mile is a proprietary cloud-based software that manages resource capacity utilization, route optimization, real time delivery tracking, schedule management & order validation. Here are some of the ways in which LogiNext Mile has helped in bringing down carbon emissions:

Bulk Order Grouping & Sustainable Trip Planning

Easy trip assignment

LogiNext uses geocoding and territory based geofencing to provide grouping of bulk orders in the same location to cover multiple deliveries in the same route. Its route planning algorithm looks at more than 15 million data points to provide accurate ETA’s. Real time tracking of delivery resources also generates complete visibility. This enables enterprises to avoid multiple trips and use lesser resources and eliminate duplication during the order dispatch phase itself. This feature has been widely integrated into LogiNext’s Platform, thereby enabling increased efficiency by up to 27%.

Route Optimization to Reduce Fuel Usage

Green Route

LogiNext’s prowess with Route Optimization lets operational managers / dispatchers choose how they want to plan their trip. With the planning objectives being around reduction of fuel use & costs, increasing time efficiency, resource optimization & volume-based constraints. This provides a plethora of opportunities to tweak the route planning engine to optimize multiple routes for the dispatcher’s use case. Route Optimization has led to record reduction of fuel costs of up to 70% for some of LogiNext customers.

Digitisation to Eliminate Repetitive Work and Legacy Processes

Using a completely customizable user interface, app based tracking and intuitive delivery associate app, LogiNext renders independence from the paperwork driven logistics tasks. Automated allocation of Orders, Multiple trip planning and scheduling is built into the planning engine of LogiNext’s platform. This enables businesses to reduce paperwork by up to 75% vs Traditional Logistics operations. It enables the digital transformation of processes on every level that helps create a paperless logistics process.

Smart Capacity Planning

Using AI-ML Enabled decision making on the LogiNext Mile platform, Dispatchers can achieve complete visibility of their End-to-End Haul movements as well. With in-built integrations & configurations for Haul movements, Dispatchers can plan for capacity efficiency using their fleet multiple FTL (full truck load), LTL (less than truckload) & PTL (partial truck load) configurations.

All these capabilities driven by IP technology have helped 150+ enterprise clients in 50+ countries significantly reduce GHG emissions. Sustainability is one of the key drivers for businesses going forward. “From the onset, one of the biggest motivators for us has been the positive impact our technology has on the environment. Bringing in efficiency and optimization results in massive reduction in fuel usage and helps us all build towards a greener future. We’re looking forward to working with progressive companies looking at their carbon footprint and building technology powered systems looking at the long term,” says Dhruvil Sanghvi, Chief Executive Officer at LogiNext.
